Charles Spurgeon Commentary Isaiah 14:30

"And the first-born of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety; and I will kill thy root with famine, and thy remnant shall be slain." — Isaiah 14:30 (ASV)

If God's enemies have a bright day or two, it shall soon be showery weather for them. They may for the moment exult over God's people, but He knows that their day of reckoning is coming.
