Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thine obscurity be as the noonday;" — Isaiah 58:10 (ASV)
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day
Now, pay attention again to what I just said; do not go stealing this promise without noticing the connection in which it is placed: If thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity; but not until then.
