For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.

What the wild waves are saying, we do not know, so it is with a man who is like a wave of the sea. He utters words without meaning, and his prayer dies away like the roar of the billows upon the shore when the fury of the storm has abated. Let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.
