Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"a doubleminded man, unstable in all his ways." — James 1:8 (ASV)
A double minded man—
A man with two minds: one mind for religion and another mind to enjoy the pleasures of the world. Such a man...
Is unstable in all his ways.
There is nothing solid or substantial about him, nothing enduring; you cannot rely on him, for he is blown here and there, as chaff flies before the wind.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
He sees double; he runs after two objects; and therefore he staggers across the street: he is unstable in all his ways.
