Charles Spurgeon Commentary Job 19:16-17

"I call unto my servant, and he giveth me no answer, [Though] I entreat him with my mouth. My breath is strange to my wife, And my supplication to the children of mine own mother." — Job 19:16-17 (ASV)

He mentioned to his wife those whom death had taken away, and asked her to speak kindly to him; but even she had hard words to fling at him.
