Charles Spurgeon Commentary Job 19:8

"He hath walled up my way that I cannot pass, And hath set darkness in my paths." — Job 19:8 (ASV)

God had done this, and done it to Job, whom He called a perfect and an upright man (Job 1:8). Then, how can you and I expect to escape trial and difficulty when such a man as the patriarch of Uz found his road blocked up, and darkness all around him?
