Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Behold, I am toward God even as thou art: I also am formed out of the clay." — Job 33:6 (ASV)
Behold, I am according to your wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.
Job had wished that someone would stand up and speak for God, someone without the terror that seemed inseparable from the Infinite, someone without the power of Omnipotence, someone who would be more nearly his equal, with whom he could debate the questions that perplexed him, so Elihu says, I am according to your wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.
