"But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:" — John 1:12 (ASV)

As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

How did those persons come to receive him when others rejected him? There must have been some great change worked in them to make them different from the rest of their countrymen; and truly there was, for these were twice-born men, –
