Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"He that loveth his life loseth it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will the Father honor." — John 12:25-26 (ASV)
And he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me;
The best service you can render to Christ is to imitate him. If you want to do what will please him, do as he did.
He that loveth his life shall lose it: and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
It is an honour to be allowed to serve Christ, but God will bestow still further honour upon those who faithfully serve him.
