Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day." — John 12:48 (ASV)
He who rejects me, and does not receive my words, has one who judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Look, you, to that: the gospel which you refuse will judge you at the last day. We know that the Lord Jesus Christ will judge the world, Paul says, according to my gospel, and he who sins against the gospel of love will certainly involve himself in the most solemn condemnation. He who sins against the law perishes; he dies without mercy at the mouth of one or two witnesses. Of how much more severe punishment will he be thought worthy who sins against love and rejects the Saviour?
