Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall declare [it] unto you. All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare [it] unto you. A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me." — John 16:14-16 (ASV)
For he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. A little while, and ye shall not see me; and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
That was a very simple statement; every Sunday school student understands it now, but the twelve apostles did not understand it when they heard it.
