Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil [one]. They are not of the world even as I am not of the world." — John 17:15-16 (ASV)
But that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
You cannot make Christ a worldling; do what you will with his character; twist it as you like, you must see that there is something unworldly, otherworldly, about him. So let it always be with his people.
