"Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also [one] of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not." — John 18:25 (ASV)
And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself.
Twice over, we are told that, while his Master was being buffeted, Peter stood in the midst of the ribald throng, and warmed himself.
They said therefore unto him.
Two or three or more of them speaking at a time said to him.
