SCRIPTURE

"I receive not glory from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves. I am come in my Father`s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that [cometh] from the only God ye seek not?" — John 5:41-44 (ASV)

Some men find it difficult to believe in Christ because they are always seeking honour for themselves; desire for the praise of men often blinds the mind and prejudices the spirit.

How boldly our great Master speaks! There is no flattery on his lips. He is the faithful and true Witness, the very Word of God. Oh, that all men would give heed to his message!
