SCRIPTURE

"The Jews therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, I am the bread which came down out of heaven." — John 6:41 (ASV)

The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

They muttered, murmured, whispered, growled among themselves at this saying of Christ.

The Jews then murmured at him,.

That is, at the Christ.

The Jews then murmured at him,

That is, at our blessed Lord: "The Jews then murmured at him,"
