Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"But when his brethren were gone up unto the feast, then went he also up, not publicly, but as it were in secret. The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?" — John 7:10-11 (ASV)
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers?
hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
He condemned the sin; his own pure and holy life was the best condemnation of that. But, as for the sinner, he had not come to condemn, but to forgive. His own declaration was, The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
