SCRIPTURE

"What is this word that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me; and where I am, ye cannot come? Now on the last day, the great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink." — John 7:36-37 (ASV)

What manner of saying is this that he said, You shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither you cannot come? In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried,–

I think I see him standing up in the midst of the great throng.

That congregation would soon be scattered, never to come together again; so he stood up in the most prominent place he could find, and, despite all their anger, and their desire to kill him, he cried,–
