"So there arose a division in the multitude because of him. And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him." — John 7:43-44 (ASV)
So there was a division among the people because of him.
And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
He was immortal until his work was done. The hour for his death had not yet struck, and he must live on until the appointed time.
