Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Doth our law judge a man, except it first hear from himself and know what he doeth?" — John 7:51 (ASV)
Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
He only asked a question, that was all; and, timid Christian, if you are placed where you cannot say much for Christ, if you have too great a fear upon you to vindicate your Master at any considerable length, yet say what you can; and, perhaps, the simple asking of a question may suffice to defend him. Nicodemus only rose and asked, Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
