SCRIPTURE

"Jesus therefore saith unto them, My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil. Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up unto this feast; because my time is not yet fulfilled." — John 7:6-8 (ASV)

Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hates, because I testify of it, that its works are evil. You go up to this feast: I do not yet go up to this feast; for my time is not yet full come.

Our Lord Jesus Christ did everything, as it were, by the clock.

His life was an orderly one; it was all arranged in the eternal purpose of God. The very day on which he was to go up to Jerusalem was marked down, and he made sure that he did not go before the right time.

Now, half the power of a Christian life depends on it being timely. The bringing forth of fruit in due season is one of the marks of the tree planted by the rivers of water; and one of the signs of the Son of Man, who delighted in the law of the Lord, was that he said, My time is not yet full come. When it did come, then he went.
