Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And they said unto him, Where is he? He saith, I know not." — John 9:12 (ASV)
Then said they to him, "Where is he?" He said, "I do not know."
Enough for him to know what he did know – that his eyes were opened, and how it was done. So, sometimes I have known persons approach a new convert with a question that has rather baffled him, and he has been troubled because he could not answer it. Do not let it trouble you. You are not expected to know everything. The very best and most honest thing is to say, "I do not know."
Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
There are a good many things concerning Christ which you may not know, but if you know that he has opened your eyes, you may be well content with that knowledge until he is pleased to reveal more about himself to you.
