SCRIPTURE

"and asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? How then doth he now see? His parents answered and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: but how he now seeth, we know not; or who opened his eyes, we know not: ask him; he is of age; he shall speak for himself." — John 9:19-21 (ASV)

And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who you say was born blind? how then does he now see? His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: but by what means he now sees, we know not; or who has opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

This was very shrewd on their part; but I think that I must add that it was very cowardly to throw all the testimony on their son.

There are some parents who, if their children do right, if they follow Christ, seem to leave them to take care of themselves.
