Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"They said therefore unto him, What did he to thee? How opened he thine eyes? He answered them, I told you even now, and ye did not hear; wherefore would ye hear it again? would ye also become his disciples? And they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are disciples of Moses." — John 9:26-28 (ASV)
Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
Then they reviled him—as they could not answer him, they reviled him. It is the old plan which is still followed by certain lawyers, "No case; therefore abuse the plaintiff." "They reviled him."
