Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"These are they who are hidden rocks in your love-feasts when they feast with you, shepherds that without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn leaves without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness hath been reserved forever." — Jude 1:12-13 (ASV)
Clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
Such were in the professing church in Jude's time, so we must not be surprised if we meet with men like them in the nominal church today.
Twice dead, plucked up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, –
They have nothing to say for Christ, yet they must say something, so they are raging waves of the sea,.
