Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades. He that heareth you heareth me; and he that rejecteth you rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me rejecteth him that sent me." — Luke 10:15-16 (ASV)
If the messenger delivers his message correctly, and as his Master would have him deliver it, the rejection of that message, when brought by him, has the same guilt as the rejection of Christ himself, and the rejection of Christ is the rejection of God; so Jesus tells us here.
