"And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name." — Luke 10:17 (ASV)

Saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

Christ had not mentioned that in the commission. He sent them to heal the sick.

The casting out of devils was included, no doubt, but it was not specifically mentioned; and this being an extra beyond the words of their commission, they were especially delighted with it: Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

And the seventy returned again with joy,

Not one of the lambs had been eaten by the wolves.
