"Be ye also ready: for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh. And Peter said, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even unto all?" — Luke 12:40-41 (ASV)

Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not. Then Peter said to him, Lord, do you speak this parable to us, or even to all?

And the Lord told him that, while it was spoken to all, it had a very special bearing upon apostolic men, upon preachers of the gospel, ministers of Christ.
