Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And shall not God avenge his elect, that cry to him day and night, and [yet] he is longsuffering over them?" — Luke 18:7 (ASV)
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
He may seem to be slow about it; but when his people cry to him, he will ultimately hear them, even if not at once. Do not imagine that the children of God will always be laughed at, and downtrodden. God will yet arise, and take their side. They may be pushed into a corner for a while, but they will come out into a large room in due season, for God will certainly avenge his own elect.
