SCRIPTURE

"And they seized him, and led him [away], and brought him into the high priest`s house. But Peter followed afar off. And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and had sat down together, Peter sat in the midst of them. And a certain maid seeing him as he sat in the light [of the fire], and looking stedfastly upon him, said, This man also was with him." — Luke 22:54-56 (ASV)

Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

But a certain maid saw him as he sat by the fire—the flickering light helped to reveal his features to this maid as he sat by the fire.
