SCRIPTURE

"If thou therefore wilt worship before me, it shall all be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, It is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." — Luke 4:7-8 (ASV)

The temptation annoyed him; it was so foreign to his holy nature, it vexed his gracious spirit, so he cried out indignantly to the tempter: Get thee behind me, Satan.
