SCRIPTURE

"And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:" — Luke 4:9 (ASV)

And he brought him to Jerusalem,

Satan now takes Christ to holy ground. Temptations are generally more severe there.

And set him on a pinnacle of the temple,

The highest point of all; elevated high above the earth.
