Charles Spurgeon Commentary Luke 7:28

"I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there is none greater than John: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of God is greater than he." — Luke 7:28 (ASV)

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist:

His was the highest office of all, immediately to precede Messiah himself.

But he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

We have a fuller gospel to preach than John had, and we may expect to see greater results from the preaching of that gospel than John could hope to see.
