Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but putteth it on a stand, that they that enter in may see the light." — Luke 8:16 (ASV)
A candlestick, or lamp-stand. True religion and true doctrine are not intended to be concealed; they are meant to be seen. And if any of you are hiding these blessed things away, I urge you to do so no longer. Bring out your candle and put it on the candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
