SCRIPTURE

"And it was told him, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. But he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God, and do it." — Luke 8:20-21 (ASV)

The spiritual relationship surpasses the natural. But what a sweet and humbling word this is! Dear brothers and sisters, do you hear the Word of God, and do it? If so, Christ is at home with you.

Christ calls you "Brother." He knows that you will take care of his cause. He calls you "Brother." He has deep sympathy with you. O blessed One, you who call us mother and brother, how he welcomes those loving and familiar titles!
