SCRIPTURE

"And they shall be mine, saith Jehovah of hosts, [even] mine own possession, in the day that I make; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him." — Malachi 3:17 (ASV)

And I will spare them, as a man prepares his own son that serves him.

When the sword of the enemy is drawn from its sheath, when disease is striking down its myriads, when God's vengeance has taken hold of the ungodly, he will be a hiding-place for his people, and will care for them as a man would anxiously care, not only for his son, but for his only son, one who is obedient and faithful to his father: his own son that serves him.

And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; (Malachi 3:17)

Others, who thought much of themselves, shall be thrown away like worthless pebbles, but these faithful ones shall be mine in that day when I am putting my jewels into my crown, for they shall be precious in my sight.
