"And all the city was gathered together at the door." — Mark 1:33 (ASV)

And all the city was gathered together at the door.

It seemed as if everybody had come either to be healed or to witness the healing of others: All the city was gathered together at the door. Oh, when shall we see our places of worship thronged in this fashion with the spiritually sick? When will this great city of London begin to turn towards the Lord Jesus Christ? Will any of us live to see all our fellow-citizens gathered together around the Saviour to be healed by him of all the wounds that sin has made?
