Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"In like manner also the chief priests mocking [him] among themselves with the scribes said, He saved others; himself he cannot save." — Mark 15:31 (ASV)
Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
What they said in bitter scorn was true; for mighty love had bound his hands for self-salvation. Infinite in love, found guilty of excess of love to men, He saved others; himself he could not save.
