Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Why doth this man thus speak? he blasphemeth: who can forgive sins but one, [even] God?" — Mark 2:7 (ASV)
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
Which was quite true, but then he was God, and therefore it was not blasphemy. Blasphemy it would have been had he not been divine.
