Let us learn from this to familiarize ourselves with our Lord’s pedigree and reflect deeply on His birth into the world. Especially, let us recognize that He was literally of the house of David and the seed of Abraham, as many prophecies in the Old Testament pointed to this fact. He is truly the Messiah, the Prince, who was to come.
