Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And into whatsoever city or village ye shall enter, search out who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go forth. And as ye enter into the house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you." — Matthew 10:11-13 (ASV)
And into whatever city or town you shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide until you go from there. And when you come into a house, greet it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
How about your houses, dear friends? Are they "worthy" houses, in this New Testament sense? If an apostle came there, could he bring "peace" to it? Or would he have to take the peace away with him to some other house that was more worthy to receive it?
