Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child: and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name`s sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved." — Matthew 10:21-22 (ASV)
And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
When we give ourselves to Christ, we must do it without any reserve and be prepared to follow Him even to the bitter end if necessary. If all men should forsake us, if death should be our portion because of our allegiance to Christ, we dare not draw back.
To do that would lead to our destination; but to endure to the end, this is eternal salvation.
