"Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven." — Matthew 10:31-33 (ASV)

Do not fear therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows. Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny me before men,

And you see from the connection, that here the denying means not confessing. Whoever shall deny me before men.
