SCRIPTURE

"Now when Jesus heard [it], he withdrew from thence in a boat, to a desert place apart: and when the multitudes heard [thereof,] they followed him on foot from the cities. And he came forth, and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick." — Matthew 14:13-14 (ASV)

And when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

He needed quiet, but he could not get it; yet he was not "moved" with indignation against the crowd that had sought him out, but he was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. Out of the fullness of his heart of love, he condescended to do for the people what they most needed.
