The people are prepared for the festival by willingness to obey. What they had seen of our Lord’s miraculous power awakened expectation and created readiness to follow His lead. There is generally a preparedness of mind when Jesus is about to work His wonders of grace. Lord, cause our people to be ready to sit down on the ground at Your feast of grace!
