Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." — Matthew 18:19-20 (ASV)
It is not a large church, therefore, that is endowed with the wonderful power of prayer, but even two or three. Christ would not have us despise one, and He would not have us despise two or three. Who hath despised the day of small things? On the contrary, measure by quality rather than by quantity, and even if the quality fails, measure by love rather than by some rule of justice that you have set up.
