Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"But Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for to such belongeth the kingdom of heaven." — Matthew 19:14 (ASV)
The Lord is more lowly than His servants. He bids them cease to hinder the little children. He calls them to Himself. He declares that they are the very kind of people who make up His heavenly kingdom. Of such is the kingdom of heaven — this is the banner of the Sunday school. Children, and those like them, may freely come into the kingdom of the Lord of heaven. Indeed, these are the characters who alone can enter into that kingdom.
