SCRIPTURE

"And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre." — Matthew 27:61 (ASV)

Love and faith were both typified by these two Marys sitting opposite the sepulchre. They will be the last to leave their Lord’s resting-place and the first to return to it when the Sabbath is past.

Can we cling to Christ when His cause seems to be dead and buried? When truth has fallen in the streets or is even buried in the sepulchre of skepticism or superstition, can we still believe in it and look forward to its resurrection? That is what some of us are doing at the present time. O Lord, keep us faithful!
