"But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them." — Matthew 28:16 (ASV)

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them (Matthew 28:16).

Away from the places people usually frequented, where He had usually been, in a region familiar to them and with which He was also familiar, in a despised region, "Galilee of the Gentiles."
