SCRIPTURE

"For if ye love them that love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others?] do not even the Gentiles the same? Ye therefore shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." — Matthew 5:46-48 (ASV)

For if you love them which love you, what reward do you have? do not even the publicans do the same? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you do more than others? do not even the publicans do so?

Be therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Stretch towards the highest conceivable standard, and do not be satisfied till you reach it.

Do not even the publicans do the same? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the publicans do so? Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect.

Rise out of ordinary manhood. Get beyond what others might expect of you. Have a high standard. Be you, therefore, perfect, even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect.
