"But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:" — Matthew 6:3 (ASV)

But when you do alms, let not your left hand know what your right hand does:

"Do it so by stealth as scarcely to know it yourself; think so little of it with regard to yourself that you shall scarcely know that you have done it. Do it to God; let him know it."
